California Cowboys
R. W. Smith and the California Cowboys deliver a powerful sound, with the clear punch of tight three-part harmonies. And such rowdy, foot stompin' original songs as "We Ride' em We Rope' em" and "Double Shot of Hank", it's easy to see this band will always go over in a big way with any audience. As lead singer and song-writer, R.W. is the polished showman. He dances and jokes with the audience while delivering top billing entertainment. Together with drummer Hal Atkinson (CCMA’s Drummer of the year, 1994), guitar player Gary Potterton ( producer of "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer". bass player Bill Mooney and (CCMA's steel guitar player of the year 1994). These fine musicians form one of California's most successful country-western bands. With a solid draw and non-stop show, promoters and sponsors know the Cowboys can fill the seats with cheering audiences.
Country Allstars
The Country All-Stars is a 10-piece authentic country and western band that performs the music of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Bob Wills, the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and many more of the greats of country music. Comprised of the finest country musicians and singers in the San Franciso Bay Area, the Country All-Stars perform a fun and entertaining show, which has been enthusiastically received by audiences at fairs, festivals and concerts throughout California. The instrumentation of this group includes: piano, guitars, upright bass and drums, as well as pedal steel guitar, fiddle, accordian, rub board, banjo and more. The six singers in the band provide strong lead vocals and clean, sweet harmonies. A show-stopper wherever they perform, The Country All-Stars would love to entertain you!!!
Doug Adamz & Bravo!
The DOUG ADAMZ & BRAVO! sound is rooted in traditional American Country music, but they can shift effortlessly into old-time rock & roll or blues. Doug plays fiddle, guitar and harmonica and, depending on the occasion, he can present anything from a full-tilt dance band with steel guitar, banjo, mandolin, electric guitar, bass and drums to a more folksy duo with fiddle and banjo. What brings it all together is their ability to go straight to the heart of whatever they may be playing; the skill and soul of the great musicians that make BRAVO.
Flatt Lonesome
Born in the “Egg Basket” of California (Petaluma), Flatt Lonesome evoke the feeling of a honky tonk band at a Hoe Down. Drawing inspiration from artists of yesteryear such as The Maddox Bros.& Rose, The Cox Family, Jimmy Rodgers, and Hank Williams (the real one) Flatt Lonesome playfully explore the best of early country music. Being fans of all country music old and new, the band covers some of their current favorites from artists such as Patty Loveless, Lucinda Williams, Martina McBride and the Dixie Chicks You can expect to sit and listen to sweet ballads like Satin Sheets, I Am Weary or Heartaches by the Numbers and then kick your heels up to Honky Tonk Blues, Hell Bent and Whiskey Bound and Kentucky Borderline. To round out the band's sound, you can expect to hear original songs penned by various members. Augmenting Sheila Groves sassy country vocals are some of northern California’s most versatile and experienced bluegrass and alt-country acoustic musicians. On pedal steel and resonator guitars is Jon Mitguard. Jon has performed with a variety of country and Americana acts in Colorado and Northern California. When he’s not a member Flatt Lonesome, John currently plays with Bay Area stalwarts Mike Stadler and Mary Gibbons. Former long time Modern Hicks members Tom Sours (bass) and Layne Bowen (mandolin/fiddle/electric guitar) provide the down beat and back beat that drive the band forward. On drums, Dan Ransford (who has played with Laughing Gravy, Lucky Dawgs, The Ruminators) gives the band the rhythm and energy to fill the dance floor. Finally, on guitar and providing some great sibling harmonies, is Sheila’s brother Charlie Mooney, previously of the popular Sonoma County band Twang.
Combine Sheila’s lively stage presence and vocal talents with some of northern California’s finest supporting musicians, and you have a band that is exciting and just plain fun!
Side Saddle
Sidesaddle & Co., based in San Jose California, has been captivating audiences with their unique acoustic sound since 1979 when the band was first established. The five members of the band come from an interesting variety of musical backgrounds, which come alive in their repertoire of primarily traditional Bluegrass music, seasoned with vintage Country, Irish, Cajun and Cowboy Western. Their popularity is extended further by including Gospel, Folk, Novelty and Comedy. Billboard Magazine has called their music "superbly melodic." Critics have hailed their performances as "sophisticated and highly entertaining" and their harmonies "impeccable." The longevity of the band is proof-positive that Sidesaddle & Co lends an air of contagious energy and professionalism to every performance. It is the group's combination of artistry and enthusiasm that has made Sidesaddle and Co. one of the most popular and sought-after Bluegrass bands in the West.
Silver Creek
SILVER CREEK is a high-energy four-piece band that performs mostly popular country music and is versatile enough to play rock, metal, rap or funk. Members of SILVER CREEK have performed on the same stage with Alabama, Billy Ray Cyrus, Restless Heart, Reba McEntire, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, George Strait, Merle Haggard, The Judds, Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam, among many others. Among SILVER CREEK’s many accomplishments are, winning the California Country Music Association Horizon Award, opening for and performing with Steve Wariner, Carlene Carter, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart) and Timothy B. Schmidt (Eagles) at Tony La Russa’s "Stars to the Rescue" Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) benefit concert, and opening for Boy Howdy, Patti Loveless, Little Texas and Confederate Railroad on the main stage at Country Fest at the Mt. View Shoreline Amphitheater (BGP).
